Ioannis D. Verras was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete, he is a Lawyer in Athens, and a graduate of the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he obtained a LLM in Criminal Law. Furthermore, from the year 2021, he is a PhD candidate in Criminal Procedure at the Faculty of Law of the above university.
From the year 2020 until today, he was teaching the courses of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the Law School of City Unity College in collaboration with the Swiss European University EurAka – Switzerland and has participated as a keynote speaker in scientific events of the Athens Bar Association, the Association of Criminal and Fighting Lawyers and the Association of Practicing and Young Lawyers.
He is a member of the Athens Bar Association, the Hellenic Society of Criminal Law and the Association of Criminal Lawyers and Trial Lawyers.
His area of expertise is Criminal Law.
He is fluent in English.
